The Blues went down 5-3 to Norwich City last night in a thoroughly entertaining game at the Watson & Hillhouse Victory Road Stadium.

Norwich took an early lead and led by three goals after 25 minutes before a goal either side of half time by Jamie Eaton-Collins and Will Davies saw the Blues trail by just one. However, two goals in two minutes for the away side ended the match as a contest, but Leiston deservedly got a third goal as Will Davies headed home from Joe Marsden’s cross.

Blues team: - - Donkin, Eaton-Collins, Dunbar, Eagle, Hutchings, Odelusi, Marsden, Hunter, Ocran, Switters, Saunders. Subs (all used): - Bailey-Dennis, Mills, Quantrell, Davies.

Leiston Reserves drew 1-1 at Harwich & Parkeston in their final friendly before they start their league campaign on Saturday 7th August. Ben Stannard netted the goal via the penalty spot.

On Friday night, Leiston host Colchester United in a match sponsored by Allglass. We thank them for their continued sponsorship towards the club.
