Popular defender Joe Jefford has agreed a new extension to his current deal with the Blues that will keep him at Victory Road until the end of the 2018/2019 season. Joe joined the Blues in the summer of 2011 in our first season in the Ryman League and has consistently performed to a high level and is a valuable member of the Blues squad.

Lowestoft based Joe (30) had this to say after signing his new deal;

"I am very pleased to be committing my future at a place where I feel very much at home. I am excited to continue my good relationship with the Manager, players and supporters and to hopefully play my part in pushing the club forward to the next level."

Blues boss Glenn Driver was equally delighted to secure the services of Joe;

"Like everyone at Leiston I'm very pleased to see Joe sign a new two and a half year deal. Joe is a very good defender who wears his heart on his sleeve and we have seen a lot more of his footballing ability this season. He is a good passer of the ball and always gives 100%. As we look forward I'm sure Joe will play a massive part into what Leiston achieve over the next three years, he is our Vice Captain and has led the team well when called upon."
