A trip to Oxford City in the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round

For the third successive season the Blues will face Step Two opposition in the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round after today’s Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying round draw. After a home defeat to Gloucester City in 2015/16 and then a victory at Hungerford Town last season, Glenn Driver's side now travel to National League South Oxford City on Saturday, September 30th.

It will be a difficult ask for the Blues despite Oxford’s current 19th place position in the National League South table. The Hoops, who play on a 3G surface at their Marsh Lane ground, have failed to win any of their last five League games and have won only two of their 11 League games to date (three draws). On Saturday they defeated fellow Step Two side Whitehawk at the Enclosed Ground thanks to goals from Zac McEachran (2) and Reece Fleet.

The prize for the victors of the Third Qualifying Round is a cool £7500 and admission and travel details will be announced once known.
