Leiston have signed Brightlingsea Regent defender George Keys. George is an 18 year old right back. He was taken on at Colchester United when he was 16 and had loan spells with Maldon & Tiptree in 2016-2017 and Brightlingsea in 2017-2018. On being released by Colchester United in the Summer of 2018 he signed for Brightlingsea. George won the Young Player of the Year award at Brightlingsea last season.
This weekend, George is cup tied for the match at Beaconsfield Town in the Buildbase FA Trophy, so he will make his first appearance in a Leiston shirt for the Reserves home match against Swaffham Town at the weekend.
