Game 15/42. Leiston were dealt a setback on Saturday as Rushall Olympic left Victory Road with a late goal clinching a 1-0 win, although the Blues remain 5th and in the play-off places. (This could change with matches taking place on Tuesday evening). Leiston have never played Hitchin Town before in their history. They will be missing Jake Reed (back), Dominic Docherty (knee), Patrick Brothers (hamstring), Kyle Hammond (suspended) and Byron Lawrence (foot).

Hitchin Town currently sit in 21st place in the league table (out of 22) and have 7 points from 12 games. They went out of the Emirates FA Cup a week before last at home to Solihull Moors.

Hitchin FC were formed in 1865, and took part in the first ever FA Cup in the 1871-72 season. They reached the quarter-finals that year before losing to eventual finalists Royal Engineers. They beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 1905, 3-2.

Hitchin Town were formed in 1928, after Hitchin FC folded in 1911. They play their matches at Top Field. Hitchin Town have played in the Isthmian League and Southern League over the past few years. They won the Southern League Cup last season.
