The annual Golf Day was once again held at Ufford Park this year last Thursday as 21 teams (in groups of 4) played in the event in a stableford format, with the best three scores out of the four players at each hole counting towards their final points tally.

The winning team was I like big putts and I cannot lie with a total of 119 points, with the team consisting of Tim Shepard, Matt Pilkington, Steve Edmunds and Gavin Jennings.

In second place was Leiston U14’s with a score of 116 points. Their team consisted of Dave Williams, Duncan Laud, Mike Taylor and David Webber. CR Holmes For The Beer were third, gaining 114 points with Stephen Brown, Cliff Brown, Darren Ridgeon and Tom Feveyear making up their team.

Steve Edmunds won the individual event with 40 points.

Well done to the prize winners on the day and there also was an auction at the end of the day. Money was raised towards the football club and to the football club’s chosen charity, EACH.

Finally, we would like to thank Ufford Park for letting us use their facilities and also for their hospitality they laid on throughout the day and making us all very welcome.
