Club Statement

Leiston Football Club wish to confirm that they are investigating the allegation that a member of Lowestoft Town Football Club's playing staff was assaulted after the game that took place at Victory Road yesterday. The football club treats this allegation with the utmost seriousness and will act accordingly.

Leiston Football Club also acknowledges the fact that Lowestoft Town Football Club are investigating the allegation that the first team goalkeeper, Ashlee Jones, was racially abused by one of their supporters during the same game. Racism cannot be tolerated in any form and Leiston Football Club sincerely hopes that appropriate action will be taken if necessary.

A more detailed statement will follow after these investigations have concluded.
