The Blues host the ‘Marketmen tomorrow at Victory Road in a 1 o’clock kick off. Dominic Docherty and Robert Eagle remain on the sidelines for Leiston, while Noel Aitkens faces a late fitness test. Leiston are 11 matches unbeaten against Needham in the league, with Needham’s last victory coming in March 2009 in a 1-0 win at Bloomfields. Out of them 11 matches, Leiston have won 9 times. Earlier in the season, Leiston drew 2-2 at Bloomfields with Cemal Ramadan and Chris Henderson on the scoresheet.

Needham meanwhile are currently flying in 4th position, with 32 points accumulated from 20 league matches. The hosts include former Blues players Joe Marsden and Gareth Heath in their squad.
Needham were in existence in the 1890’s but the modern club were established in 1919. They played in the Suffolk & Ipswich League for a number of years, before winning promotion to the Eastern Counties League in 1996 after winning the SIL Senior Division. They won promotion to the Premier Division in 2005, after finishing runners-up and won the Suffolk Senior Cup. Needham reached the 2008 FA Vase semi-finals before losing 4-2 on aggregate to eventual champions Kirkham & Wesham. They won the Eastern Counties Premier Division in 2010, and then lost in the Ryman Division One North play-offs in three of the next four seasons. They won promotion to Step 3 football in 2015 after winning on the final day of the season.
