Leiston go down to Long Eaton on final day of campaign to finish 13th

Leiston went down 2-1 to Nottinghamshire based club Long Eaton United this afternoon on the last day of the season at Grange Park.

In a first ever visit to Long Eaton, the Blues conceded goals in either half through Tom Hewlett and Cieran Keane before Albie Armin pulled a goal back with virtually the last kick of the match.

Leiston finish 13th in the Pitching In Southern League Central Premier table this season while the won for Long Eaton saw them climb above Berkhamsted to finish second from bottom.

Thanks to Long Eaton for their hospitality this afternoon.

We would like to thank the Blues supporters for making the trip today in an antten of 143 and we hope everyone has a safe trip home.

Blues side today: - Donkin, Dunbar (C), Bailey-Dennis,, Eddie Jackson (sub Saunders 58 mins), Crane, Armin, Manly (sub Dronfield 68 mins), Loza, Quantrell, Casement, Marsden.
