Game thirty five and will it be third time lucky to get the fixture played? After seeing the pitch on Friday night there was no way the game would go ahead but some outstanding work by volunteers and ground staff has worked wonders so hopefully we will see some action after all.

Second placed Margate are in town and after their fantastic run of seven successive wins was halted at Needham Market last time out, the Kent side, who are looking for a swift return to the National League South, will hope for better fortunes in Suffolk. Margate were relegated last season, finishing bottom of the National League South and fifteen points short of safety but they have recruited well during the summer and look to echo the bookmakers tag as a probable top five side come next May, currently sat in second position after Saturday’s games. They also have in their ranks the League's current leading scorer, Jordan Chiedozie, who has 27 goals to his name.

This will be the eighth meeting between the sides with the Blues winning just the once back in the 2014/15 season. Of the previous seven games, all the three draws have been at Margate's Hartsdown Park. Amazingly Margate have never played at Victory Road on a Saturday! Last time out in the August sunshine the Blues battled back from two early goals to snatch a draw thanks to second half goals from Byron Lawrence and a last minute goal from Joe Marsden.

The Blues will be searching for a third straight League win from the first of six scheduled League games in March. They will also be boosted by the signing of striker Jake Reed and boss Glenn Driver will have a full squad at his disposal.
