Byron Lawrence departs the Blues for Ryman Premier Division rivals

Blues midfielder Byron Lawrence has today completed his transfer to Ryman Premier Division rivals Billericay Town for an undisclosed fee. 21 year old Byron joined the Blues in the summer and has played a key part in the success of the Blues season to date. The ex Colchester United and Ipswich Town midfielder should make his debut for his new club at Kingstonian on Saturday pending the necessary documentation clearance.

Blues boss Glenn Driver said on the transfer;

"With Byron moving to Billericay it is a move that has come completely out of the blue. I am pleased for Byron as its a move that could elevate him back towards the pro game that he is keen to be a part of again. He has great ability and has been fantastic for us. I'm sure he will do well for his new club. With a fee being paid it helps us as a football club move forward and I'm already in the process of seeking a suitable replacement."

From everyone at Victory Road we wish Byron all the very best and thank him for all his excellent efforts whilst with us.
