Defender Ollie Brown has departed Victory Road after a single season and signed for Thurlow Nunn Division One Champions Stowmarket Town. Ollie, who arrived from Needham Market last summer, had a fine season at right back producing some excellent performances throughout the season. With a new baby on the way Ollie felt he needed to spend more time nearer to home and with his new family, so has decided to remain more local and play his football in a more local league .
Manager Glenn Driver had the following to say on Ollie's departure;
"Ollie was offered a new deal to stay with us in January, he wanted time to think it over and we respected that. As the season drew to a close we had further meetings and Ollie was still undecided and he then decided to remain more local to his home as he has a baby on the way. The travelling within the Ryman League is very demanding and we of course respect Ollie's decision. I hope to work with Ollie again in the future, he is a lovely lad and a very good player and I wish him all the very best for the future."
All at Leiston Football Club would like to thank Ollie for his tremendous efforts last season and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.
