Support local football at the Ryman League Conmunity Day

Love football? The Ryman League is celebrating local football at its very best with the Ryman League Community Day, taking place at numerous club matches across the league. To take part, watch your local team Leiston v Worthing on Saturday 25th March at 3pm, as part of the Community Day. With the special Ryman League Community Day flyer, that has been distributed via local schools, 1 adult and 1 child, will get to watch their local team absolutely free.
Theo Paphitis, Ryman Chairman, said: “The Ryman Community Day is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the beautiful game at grass roots level, firstly for football lovers to watch and support their local teams, but also for parents and their kids to simply have a great family day out. Go on, get involved!”

On the day there will also be the chance to donate to Comic Relief, on Red Nose Day weekend. Ryman is a long-standing partner of Comic Relief and has so far raised over £3.5m for the charity.
There is also an opportunity for budding sports writers aged 11 and under, as Theo Paphitis will be judging a ‘match report’ on the game and Community Day that will be published the following weekend in the Non League Paper, the leading newspaper covering non-league football. The report should be no more than 180 words and report on the teams playing, the atmosphere at the ground on the Community Day, who the best players were and, of course, how the goal action was!

The winning entry will be picked by retail entrepreneur and Ex-Dragon, Theo Paphitis, and will be published in the Non-League Paper on Sunday 5th April, and win the writer £250 worth of Ryman goodies, including a desk, VR headset, experiments kits, colouring materials and much more. The deadline for the match report is 7pm on Sunday 26th March, and all entries should be sent to MatchReport@ryman.co.uk.

Nick Robinson, Chairman Ryman League, added: “The Board are delighted that we have been able to work with Ryman to put this event in place. It is part of a fitting climax to the conclusion of a fantastic partnership with the Ryman Company and Theo Paphitis in particular ”
