The Blues are seeking a Programme Editor

Leiston Football Club has an exciting vacancy to fill as they are looking for a Programme Editor. The vacancy would suit new or former editors, graphic designers or perhaps aspiring journalists who enjoy writing about football or sport and like things to be well presented. The matchday programme is a well read publication and this is a great opportunity to be involved with a semi-professional and high profile football club in East Anglia and to get some excellent experience along the way as well as being part of a hard working football club. Leiston Football Club play in the Bostik Premier Division, the seventh tier of English Football, and last season finished eighth, the highest League placing in the club's 136 year history and are currently competing for a play off place.

The primary role of the programme editor is to edit the match day programme of Leiston FC for home Bostik Premier Division and Thurlow Nunn Division One fixtures as well as cup ties. The successful applicant will have good computer skills and will be familiar with certain software, looking to deliver a professional editorial programme. Good writing skills will also be important as there will be a requirement to write some articles. The programme editor may suit someone who is currently studying graphic design or undertaking a media or journalism course, the position could help with their studies and enhance their CV. The successful applicant would be happy to work independently and be prepared to put their own stamp on this vital part of the matchday experience. Please note that this is a voluntary position within the football club.
