The Keith Cracknell Foundation has been set up in memory of Keith with Copdock & Old Ipswichian Cricket Club and Keith’s family.
The Keith Cracknell Foundation has been set up in conjunction with Copdock and Old Ipswichian Cricket Club and Keith’s family.
The aim of the Foundation is to provide young people aged 18 or under with financial assistance by means of a grant to enable them to play cricket.
Not only was Keith a passionate supporter of local cricket but many of you will know he was a fantastic supporter of Leiston FC and he attended many games with his partner Hazel, as well as being a generous contributed financially.
The proceeds of donations received at Keith’s funeral will constitute the starting fund.
The first major fund raising event will be a T20 cricket match against a Leiston FC XI on Thursday June 27th, starting at 6.00pm at the cricket club. Anyone interested in playing or know of anyone who would be keen to play should get in contact via Peter Douglass.
There will be a return football match at Leiston before the start of the season where we are looking to field as many of the 2008 FA Cup run team as possible. Details of this will follow shortly.
