The Blues are delighted to announce that winger Joe Francis has extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2016/2017 season. Joe has been with the Blues since joining from Lowestoft Town in the summer of 2013 with continued impressive displays and a tidy strike ratio to match (23 goals in 61 League games). On his new deal Joe said, "l'm very happy to sign an extension at a club with such great people involved all through the club who have real ambition. The club has a great Manager that I really enjoy working for and hopefully I can help Leiston get back into the play off mix. I'm really looking forward to playing my part for Leiston for the next two seasons or so."

Manager Richard Wilkins who is shaping his squad for the future commented, "Joe is a very exciting winger who can terrorise the best of defences with his pace and trickery can score goals and creates many chances for the team with his direct approach. It shows the intent of the club to keep its quality players and the ambition to be successful."
