Blake brace sees Blues win their fifth warm up fixture

The Blues complete their pre season warm up programme next Saturday at Victory Road against Norwich United.

Leiston continued their unbeaten start to pre-season as they beat AFC Sudbury in an entertaining match. In an even first half, the first real chance of the match fell to Sam Ford of Leiston, but his well struck effort was kept out by away custodian Paul Walker. Sudbury then had a great oppurtunity to take the lead but Brothers cleared the attempted effort off the line. Leiston went ahead in the 23rd minute. Marsden done well to win the ball in the middle of the park and set up Matt Blake to fire home. Blake could have made it two before the break but his shot was well blocked.
In the second half, after a couple of early chances for Sudbury, it was mainly Leiston. The home side doubled their lead when Regan Pelling set up Blake to tap in. Pelling had a chance of his own shortly after, but he was thwarted by Walker. Leiston made numerous other chances, while Seb Dunbar cleared Rhys Henry's shot off the line, in the last action of note in the game.
