Game 5/42.
Leiston head to Stratford Town tomorrow afternoon (3pm kick off) trying to get last week’s 3-2 home defeat to Bromsgrove Sporting out of their minds.
A brace from Jamar Loza last weekend wasn’t enough as the Blues lost their first home league game in regulation in the league for 19 games (355 days).
Stratford are currently 9th place in the table, winning two and losing two of their matches so far. They went down 1-0 to Alvechurch last weekend, with both sides finishing with ten players.
The Blues will be bolstered by the signing of Jack Manly, a player who has signed on loan from Ipswich Town and who plays in midfield.
Leiston Football Club's Director of Football, Dave Williams, expressed their enthusiasm for the signing, stating, "We are delighted to have Jack Manly join us on loan. His reputation as a talented midfielder precedes him, and we believe his presence will significantly strengthen our team. We extend our appreciation to Ipswich Town for entrusting us with the development of such a promising player."
Leiston drew 1-1 at Stratford Town last season, with Will Davies goal halfway through the second half securing a point. Leiston’s other results are all losses (3-2, 3-1 and 2-1). Stratford were one of the form teams at the end of last campaign, going on a run that helped them secure their Step 3 status.
Leiston will end August with a home game against Needham Market on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm kick off) before hosting St Ives Town in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Qualifying next weekend.
