Leiston head to Stamford for a first ever visit to to the Lincolnshire club this afternoon. It will be the Blues first game for two weeks after the side didn’t have a game last week. The Blues have dropped to 11th in recent weeks as they head into the last five weeks of the campaign. The side host Berkhamsted next Saturday whilst they head to Royston Town on Easter Monday. Earlier in the season, Leiston won 3-2 at home to Stamford in late November after being two goals down in the first 8 minutes of the game. George Quantrell capitalised on a mistake in the away defence seconds before half time before Ross Crane levelled with a strike just outside the area moments later. In stoppage time, Chris Casement curled a free kick into the away goalkeeper’s top right hand corner to make sure Leiston came away with the points.
