The Blues host Hitchin Town tomorrow afternoon in their penultimate home league fixture of the campaign. A 4-2 loss at Royston Town on Bank Holiday Monday saw Leiston drop to 13th in the league table while Hitchin went seven points above AFC Sudbury at the bottom of the table.
Joe Marsden is unavailable as he is serving his last match of a three game suspension tomorrow afternoon. Chris Casement and Eddie Jackson should come back into the squad after both defenders missed Monday’s match with Royston Town. Jamar Loza’s goal was his 16th of the season.
The Blues beat Hitchin Town 4-1 in early December last year, with Adam Bailey-Dennis and Jack Manly notching first half goals before Hitchin pulled a goal back before the break. Leiston played very well in the second half but had to wait until stoppage time when Jamar Loza’s double secured all the points.
Leiston lost to Hitchin Town 2-1 in January 2019 when the ‘Canaries’ came away with a 2-1 win in Suffolk. However, since that game, Leiston haven’t lost to Hitchin at home in their last three home games against the Hertfordshire outfit.
October 2019: -

March 2022: -

Supporters player of the year award voting slips will be available on the halfway line tomorrow afternoon, near the tunnel area.
