Leiston's latest dip in form continues as a goal deep into stoppage time earned rock bottom Lewes a deserved point at a muddy Dripping Pan. The visitors, clinging on to an early opener, had two attempts to clear before James Fraser pounced much to the delight of the home support. Leiston led on five minutes through Joe Francis. The inform left winger picking his spot to beat Winterton from a Leon Ottley-Gooch right wing cross. Leiston bossed the early stages but the home side should have brought the scores level but Pacquette missed a great chance in front of goal but failed to get a shot away after the Blues failed to clear a cross. Halfway through the first half home keeper Winterton denied Joe Francis his and Leiston's second goal, denied by the Lewes keeper with his legs after a clever run and shot. But as the half grew so did Lewes and after Cotton saw an effort hacked off the line, Ashlee Jones made a fine save to keep out a Redwood header and then a Carey free kick. The second half was a tense affair as the visitors defended their early goal looking to punish on the counter attack while Lewes pressed for a leveller. Malins saw a long range effort just clear the bar and McCreadie had a goal wiped out for offside. Lewes substitute McCreadie then had a great shout for a penalty denied, the Referee choosing instead to award a free kick on the line of the 18 yard box. As the Blues tried to run down the clock content to defend in numbers their slender lead, a series of free kicks and corners finally brought an equaliser as Fraser pounced in the seventh minute of stoppages. Ashlee Jones making two great blocks from a mighty goalmouth scramble but he was powerless to stop Fraser from converting the loose ball. There was no time for the Blues to respond as Referee O'Brien blew for full time.
