Leiston doubled their lead on 27 minutes through Jake Taylor. Taylor racing clear after Christy Finch neatly flicked Blake Saker's pass into the path of Taylor. The ball finding the net from Taylor despite the best efforts of covering defender Connor Gales on the goal line. The hosts then saw an effort from Orlando Smith rattle the Leiston crossbar as the Blues ended the half two goals to the good. The win was sealed in the 59th minute, Gareth Heath finding the net from close range after good work from Man of the Match Tom Winter down the right flank. Leiston leading scorer Christy Finch missed a late chance from close range to add further gloss to the score line as the Blues now prepare for their Suffolk Premier Cup Final against Lowestoft Town at Portman Road on Wednesday, May 4th.
