Leiston remain unbeaten and continue to top the Ryman Premier Division after securing a battling point at fellow challengers Havant & Waterlooville. The point earned was even more impressive as Glenn Driver's side were forced to play the last 22 minutes with ten men after Byron Lawrence was sent off for two yellow cards. The Hampshire side bossed for the majority of the game creating the better chances but Leiston were resolute in defence especially after the dismissal of Byron Lawrence. Wes Fogden had the first sight of goal for the Hawks, his header flashing across the visitors goalmouth. The returning Jacob Marsden, who had missed the last two games through injury, then parried away a Jason Prior header before the half ended with Joe Jefford and Tom Bullard teaming up to clear shots off their own goal line. The visitors were then dealt a blow just before the half time whistle with Joe Francis limping off to be replaced by Blake Saker. The second half began with Jacob Marsden again called into action to thwart a Prior effort before the visitors went close when a stinging drive from Byron Lawrence was inches wide. It was the last piece of action for Byron Lawrence who then picked up his second yellow card for failing to retreat from a free kick. The numerical disadvantage galvanised Leiston and Leon Ottley-Gooch almost opened the scoring when his cross shot deceived the back peddling Ryan Young who made a fine stop. Havant continued to press but there was no way past a well organised Leiston defence.
