The Blues produced a solid display to record their first League victory since mid October on a bitterly cold November afternoon. Both sides served up some fine fare for the freezing supporters and after a goalless first half a well worked move saw Joe Marsden provide the pass for Jack Ainsley to calmly slide home the opener on the hour. Before the goal the visitors had seen an effort cannon off the bar. The Blues sealed the win minutes from time when persistence and bravery from Patrick Brothers saw him lay an inviting pass into the path of Christy Finch who finished confidently.
