With the strong wind at their backs it was Met Police who started the brightest and they took the lead on six minutes when indecision in midfield allowed Met Police to pick up a loose ball, which was passed forward to Gavin James who fired in from 20 yards. In their first real attack of note Leiston equalised in the 26th minute when Chris Henderson broke and found Seb Dunbar whose cross from the left allowed Jack Ainsley to score from close range at the far post.
Leiston started the second half on the front foot and should have taken the lead in the 46th minute when Matt Blake found himself free in the penalty area but he was unable to get a shot away before Luke Williams in the home goal smothered the ball. Leiston continued to dominate possession but were unable to create any clear chances, with Matt Blake and Chris Henderson having the two best efforts.
