The Blues slumped to a third successive defeat and successive home defeats as Wingate & Finchley scored late to inflict a fourth successive victory over their hosts. The game followed a similar trend to the reverse fixture a month previous as neither side took a real hold of the game. With the wind helping the Blues get up a head of steam in the second half, Wingate & Finchley opened the scoring against the run of play twenty minutes from time. The goal deflated the Blues and the visitors added a second six minutes from time with Joe Francis grabbing a consolation deep into stoppage time, his second goal in as many games.
