A terrific all round display saw the Blues overwhelm Suffolk rivals Needham Market in front of a season best attendance of 414. The Blues were dominant from the very first whistle and the contest was all but over by the half way stage, the hosts three goals to the good. Gareth Heath started the rout when his left wing corner sailed over former Blues keeper Danny Gay and into the net. Byron Lawrence then scored twice both via assists from strike duo Matt Blake and Niko Muir-Merchant. A terrific effort from Patrick Brothers early in the second period made it four before Niko Muir-Merchant was rewarded for chasing down a half cleared Matt Blake effort as an attempted clearance rebounded off the Blues striker and into the net. Ingram grabbed a late consolation for the visitors but the Blues could have added to their total as they kicked off the New Year in style.
