Preview - The Blues go into this latest fixture on their worst run of their League season to date, just a single point from a possible twelve. Despite this mini blip the Blues still sit in the final play off spot with games in hand but of course, there is still a long way to go. With four of the next five games at home including three games against sides all vying for the play offs or promotion, these now become very important fixtures and the Blues will be hoping that history doesn't repeat itself like last February when five defeats from seven games all but put pay to their play off hopes.

Wingate & Finchley come into the match after a terrific win in midweek at Burgess Hill Town, recovering from two goals down with 21 minutes remaining to win 3-2. They are the third best team in the Division away from home and since Boxing Day have lost just three of fifteen matches. Six successive wins in January including the win over the Blues, earned Manager Keith Rowland the Ryman Premier Division Manager of the Month award, just pipping our own Glenn Driver to the award. After Saturday's game they have seven of their eleven remaining games at their Harry Abrahams Stadium so they can still have a big say in the play off picture.

The sides last met just a month ago when a late Steve Wales goal earned Wingate & Finchley all the points on a cold January Tuesday night. Back in February 2016 Wingate & Finchley left Victory Road with all the points thanks to a goal two minutes from time from Karl Oliyide against the ten man Blues.

This will be the tenth meeting between the sides with both sides sharing four wins each. But Wingate & Finchley certainly have the upper hand of late, winning the last three matches between the sides 1-0. The four previous meetings at Victory Road have brought just eight goals so games are not normally high scoring affairs.
