Bobby Devyne's goal four minutes from time ended the Blues play off dreams. Needing a win to guarantee a play off place for the first time ever, the Blues took the game to their hosts with Matt Blake, Joe Jefford and Jack Ainsley all going close. The visitors deservedly led in the final minute of the first half, Gareth Heath's looping header sending the travelling support into raptures. But Enfield dominated for long spells in the second period and while the Blues stood firm they were defending deeper and deeper towards there own goal and then came Devyne's close range finish that shattered the Blues dreams.
