Game twenty one as we head ever closer to the halfway stage of the season. At this stage last season the Blues had 39 points compared to this season’s total of 33 while in season 2015/16 at this stage we had amassed 36 points so over the past two years we are following a similar trend in terms of form and consistency. Tuesday night’s hard fought win over Enfield Town was our third in succession at Victory Road and a great response after Saturday’s somewhat harsh 4-0 scoreline at Billericay Town and the win moves us within two points of the leading pack ahead of yet another tough encounter this time against Kingstonian.

The K’s are of course a well known name in Non League circles and for many years were dining on the top table of Non League football. Nowadays they are ground sharing at fellow BOSTIK Premier Division Leatherhead after previously sharing with AFC Wimbledon and sit bang in mid table after twenty games played. They have lost seven of their 11 away fixtures failing to draw any of those League games. But they have a good record against the Blues winning five of the ten games played, losing two and drawing three, one of which was at Victory Road last season when eight goals were shared in a thrilling 4-4 draw. They have lost only once at Victory Road and that was on the opening day of the 2015/16 season.

Saturday is the third fixture of eight scheduled for December for the Blues. Matt Blake and Tom Bullard, who both missed Tuesday’s victory, could be in contention of a return along with new signing Curtis Haynes-Brown who signed on Tuesday evening. Kyle Hammond is close to a return after nearly three months out through injury as the squad looks to return to a stronger position after several weeks suffering from player absences.
