Game 10 of 42. The Blues host their sixth league match at home this season against 18th placed King's Lynn Town in only the second midweek League fixture of the season and for the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that the two sides have played each other at first team level. Certainly over the years the Blues first team and then Reserves have faced the Linnets Reserves. While King's Lynn were held at home on Saturday against Stratford Town the Blues were seeing off Halesowen Town here at Victory Road.

After losing in last season's Play Off Final after racking up over 100 points, the Linnets would have expected to have started better than their current position. But despite the fourteen places and eight points between the sides, King's Lynn know a win on Tuesday night could lift them six places with the season less than a quarter gone. King's Lynn Town were established in 2010 after Kings Lynn folded in 2009 and slowly climbed back up the pyramid and for the last four seasons have been at step three. Included in their ranks are ex Blues midfielders Chris Henderson and Craig Parker and the Blues will know they will be in for a tough fixture.

Back in 2001 and in their opening game of the season at step six, the Blues hosted King's Lynn Reserves in their first ever match in the Jewson First Division in 2001 with the match ending all square. Fast forward seventeen years and the Blues will be looking to continue to hold onto a play off place after a good start to the season. Leiston have also been impressive in front of goal and the four scored last Saturday makes them the Division's joint leadings scorers alongside leaders Kettering Town with 21 goals.
