Game thirty four. Well how do you follow that? That will be the general consensus after Saturday’s thrilling win over a Billericay Town side who will surely be champions come season end. The Blues were fantastic but this win will potentially count for little if a similar effort is not on show on Tuesday night but it will be another tough ask against an inform side.

Second placed Margate are in town and a fantastic run of seven successive wins have seen the Kent side leap to second as they look for a swift return to the National League South. Margate were relegated last season, finishing bottom of the National League South and fifteen points short of safety but they have recruited well during the summer and look to echo the bookmakers tag as a probable top six five come next May, currently sat in second position after Saturday’s games.

This will be the eighth meeting between the sides with the Blues winning just the once back in the 2014/15 season. Of the previous seven games, all the three draws have been at Margate's Hartsdown Park. Amazingly Margate have never played at Victory Road on a Saturday! Last time out in the August sunshine the Blues battled back from two early goals to snatch a draw thanks to second half goals from Byron Lawrence and a last minute goal from Joe Marsden.

Glenn Driver will welcome back Byron Lawrence to the squad after he sat out Saturday’s thrilling win due to his loan arrangement with Billericay.
