Blues boss Glenn Driver boosts his squad

The Blues are delighted to announce the arrival of two new faces to the squad, one pending registration clearance. The versatile Joe Marsden and striker Niko Muir have both put pen to paper although the clearance of Niko Muir has yet to be confirmed. 23 year old Joe Marsden, brother of keeper Jacob, officially joined the club on Wednesday after recently departing Lowestoft Town, has agreed a two year deal. He has also played for Wroxham and netted 3 goals in 16 appearances this season for the Trawlerboys. Striker Niko Muir, who has also played for Grays Athletic and Wingate & Finchley is Hendon's leading scorer this season with 11 goals in all competitions, two of which were against the Blues a few weeks back. It is hoped the necessary documentation will be cleared in time for Niko to be in Saturday's squad for the trip to Met Police.

Manager Glenn Driver had this to say on the new arrivals;

"It is important to strengthen the squad when we are continuing to do well. Bringing in Joe Marsden and Niko Muir will give us more attacking options to add to what we already have. With both players being 23 we have again added players not only of good quality, but the right age as we look to build a squad for not only the present but also for the future. Joe can play in a number of positions and is a very fit athlete, good on the ball with a eye for goal. Niko has joined as I feel we needed more fire power. He is a very good all round striker, strong, quick, works hard and scores goals. We have played against him twice this season and he has been a handful in both games. The squad is looking younger all the time and I felt we needed to freshen things up to continue to progress".

A very warm welcome to both Joe and Niko and we wish them the very best of luck whilst at Victory Road.
