Stuart Boardley to continue as Player Coach with the Blues

New Blues Boss Glenn Driver has strengthened his Management Team with an important acquisition. Stuart Boardley has agreed to be part of the Management team alongside Glenn and Head Coach Tony Kinsella and will again combine playing with a Coaching role for the Blues, holding the position of Player Coach. Both Glenn and Tony are keen to utilise Stuart's strengths both on and off the field and after holding a similar position last season, Glenn was keen to keep Stuart in the fold knowing that Stuart has a wealth of experience and is still more than capable of producing quality on the pitch in the Ryman Premier Division.

Stuart had this to say on his appointment;

"I am delighted to be staying at Victory Road next season. My position was a little up in the air following Richard's (Wilkins) departure but both Glenn (Driver) and Tony (Kinsella) were very keen for me to stay. I learnt and gained a lot of experience under Richard (Wilkins) and hope to continue that working with Glen and Tony next season. Leiston is a great club and I am looking forward to concentrating a little more on playing next year whilst still getting involved with the coaching aspect alongside Tony. It was tough last season to fully dedicate myself to Leiston with a young family and a business to run so am pleased just to be able to concentrate my efforts more towards my playing role. I am really looking forward to the new season and as ever we will try to improve upon the solid foundations and great league position we achieved last year".

This is another great signing for the Blues and for new Manager Glenn Driver as preparations continue to gather speed ahead of the forthcoming season.
