Reserves 0 AFC Sudbury Reserves 2

Leiston Reserves went down 2-0 for a second time this season against AFC Sudbury Reserves this time at Victory Road side on a cold afternoon. The visitors had the first chance of the match but Isaac Skubich fired just wide of Charlie Beckwith’s right hand post. Skubich had another effort a few moments later but once again his chance went wide of the target. Sudbury took the lead in the 25th minute when a cross from the right hand side was turned in by Kane Munday. Josh Cheetham had Leiston’s first effort on goal but his shot was deflected over the bar.

Early in the second period, Josh Buckle had a close range attempt that Charlie Beckwith in the home goal did well to hold. Regan Pelling had a good run down the left wing for Leiston but Josh Cheetham could not turn his cross into the net. Cheetham arguably had the best chance of the match when he was sent through one on one but he put the ball wide of Alex Horne’s post. Josh Buckle doubled Sudbury’s lead when he scrambled home from a corner. In a game low of chances, Ben Snowling and Jac Garrard tried their luck, while Buckle again and Adam Hanson had efforts for the away team but there were no further goals and Sudbury deservedly claimed all three points.
