The Reserves scored two late goals to secure a hard fought victory on their travels. Trailing early on the Reserves equalised before falling behind to a long range strike. Late in the game the hosts were reduced to ten men resulting in a penalty that was converted for a second equaliser and then the visitors netted again to secure three points. Scorers were Will Davies, George Fricker (penalty) and Jourdan Kiwomya.
The Reserves are next in action on Tuesday night when they make the short trip to Debenham LC in the First Division Knock Out Trophy.
Leiston Reserves, having lost their last two matches, returned to winning ways with a decent 3-2 victory over fifth place Lakenheath. The hosts took the lead early on through Reece Clarke, but after creating a couple of chances of their own, the reserves equalised. Toby Groom assisted the ball through to Jourdan Kiwoyma who netted well. Lakenheath scored an excellent second goal with Benjamin Green the scorer. Leiston made changes, with Will Davies and George Fricker replacing Josh Cheetham and Chris Alcock. The young side battled well and on 80 minutes got a second leveller. Harry Lay-Fulcher's long kick to Louie Bloom saw him drive into the box, and he was up ended by keeper Daniel Corston, who was shown a straight red card. Will Davies converted his penalty for his 16th goal of the season, and Leiston Reserves got a winner in the 85th minute. Groom was again in the action, this time finding George Fricker who found the net form 20 yards. The Reserves defended well late on to hold on to the win which sends them up to 12th in the table.
