The Blues were beaten by an 89th minute strike at AFC Sudbury on Saturday afternoon in their fourth friendly of pre season.

Leiston controlled the first half as Fraser Alexander’s cross hit the bar while Adam Mills headed against the crossbar in the second period.

Sudbury came back into the game although Leiston continued to have more of the ball but the Blues were undone by a late goal.

Chris Wigger’s side now head to Mulbarton in their next game on Friday night.

Earlier in the afternoon, the Blues Under 23’s beat AFC Sudbury Reserves 6-2.

Liam Shaw put the side ahead before AFC Sudbury scored two quick goals but Hano Hawar levelled before the break.

The visitors scored two goals after the break via Ashton Rayworth and Shaw while late on, Jack McLeavy and Ollie Long were on target.

The Under 23’s head to Halesworth Town on Tuesday night for their third pre-season game.
