Leiston picked up their second point of the season and a first ever point at Banbury United, in Oxfordshire, on Saturday and with it their first away point of the 2025/2026 campaign.
Joao Rangel put the Blues ahead after 20 minutes, picking up the ball on the halfway line and running at the home defence, before venturing into the box to shoot past Dan Harding.
But three minutes later, Reece Styche closed down Billy Johnson’s clearance and put the ball into an empty net to level the game.
Leiston performed well in the first period but Banbury had better chances in the second half, though Leiston defended well to claim a point.
Thanks to the Blues fans for their support today.
Chris Wigger’s side are next in action next Saturday (23rd August) when they host Redditch United (3pm kick off).
