The Blues were beaten 3-1 at the Flannery Stadium on Saturday afternoon as play off chasing Alvechurch extended their unbeaten away record in the League to six games.

While Alvechurch climbed to fifth Leiston dropped to fifteenth with the season almost a third of the way through.

Miracle Okafor’s double on 12 and 19 minutes put the away side in command but Harvey Sayer pulled a goal back on 22 minutes for Leiston.

The ‘Church’ added a third goal on 63 minutes when a header at the back post from George Forsyth made Leiston’s plight even more difficult and there was no way back for Chris Wigger’s side.

Noel Aitkens was chosen as Man of the Match from Match Ball sponsor Lisa Lou Flowers. Thanks to Lisa Lou Flowers for sponsoring the match ball today.

Thanks for the fans support in an attendance of 202.

Leiston have no game in the week before heading to Birmingham to face high flying Bromsgrove Sporting next Saturday.
