LEISTON are pleased to announce the signing of teenage striker Ronnie Blois.
Blois, 18, spent last season at Dereham Town, where he made great strides. He joins Chris Wigger’s Blues for the campaign ahead and scored last night in the 1-1 pre-season draw at Mulbarton.
“We’ve been keeping an eye on Ronnie for a little while now,” Wigger said.
“He’s been making great strides, and we invited him over to pre-season training. We weren’t alone in wanting him, he’s been very sought-after.
“Ronnie is a powerful No.9, raw, which is to be expected at his age, but he has some real qualities. He’s a willing runner in behind, can run the channels, can hold the ball up.”
Wigger added: “At six foot one/two, he can compete physically. He’s got a lot of room to improve and grow and mature as a player. I’m over the moon he is joining us.”
The Blues would like to thank Dereham Town for their help in assisting us with Ronnie's move.
