It is with a tinge of sadness that we say goodbye to our long serving goalkeeper Sam Donkin. Sam has created some great memories while he has been at the Watson & Hillhouse Stadium and we wish him all the very best on his future footballing journey.

Sam made his first appearance for the Blues in November 2019 in a 1-1 home draw with Nuneaton Borough. He went on to make 175 appearances in all competitions during his five seasons and he also collected a host of club awards along the way.

Not only a fans favourite on the pitch, Sam was hugely popular and respected in the dressing room by his peers and staff. But more importantly than that, Sam represented Leiston Football Club exactly how we as a club want to be known, with class, respect and kindness.
