LEISTON player/coach, Ryan Jarvis, has pinpointed the reasons he sees as to why the Blues are doing so well, and on a good run of results once more this season.

Unbeaten in eight in the Southern League Premier Central Division, and with just one defeat in 12 in all competitions, the Blues are up to fifth place in the table, the final play-off position, and the highest position they have been in all season.

Jarvis has no doubts as to why.

“I think the reason we’ve done so well recently is because the coaching and playing staff have gone about their business in a professional manner, grafting and enjoying each game as it comes,” the former Norwich City professional, 38, said.

“It’s no secret that our goal is to finish as high as we can. We’re in a great position in the league after a strong run of performances and results.”

And Jarvis said he feels Leiston are showing different sides to their game that is complimenting the overall picture.

“We believe we are one of the best footballing sides in the league,” he said.

“But what we’ve shown in recent weeks is a determination and resilience. We’ve defended well, keeping many clean sheets, which always gives you a chance to win games.”

Jarvis and the Blues head to AFC Telford this weekend for another big clash, with the home side currently second in the table.
