Blues swoop to bring Mills back to Victory Road

Winger Adam returns to bolster Blues squad ahead of important run-in

'To be able to bring Adam in at this stage of the season gives strength and depth to the squad.'
- Chris Wigger

LEISTON have swooped to bring attacking winger, Adam Mills, to Victory Road.

Mills, 27, is a familiar face to Blues fans having originally joined Leiston in the summer of 2021. He left Needham Market earlier this week.

“Adam is a player who has done well for us in the past,” Blues boss Chris Wigger said.

“I think we need an extra body in our front line. Bearing in mind if we look at playing a front three, we’re currently playing a centre back as a centre forward, who can also play in goal to be fair!

“And, although Kyran Clements is doing a fantastic job, I need a little bit more variation, different players, different strengths.

“So, to be able to bring Adam in at this stage of the season gives strength and depth to the squad. It’s a real boost and adds something different to the IX on the pitch.”

Mills played for Leiston for two seasons, making 85 appearances and scoring 24 goals, before joining National South side, Chelmsford City during the 2023 off season.

He made his debut for Leiston back in August 2021 in a 4-0 win away at Bromsgrove Sporting, and has enjoyed some spectacular times with the Blues. He goes straight into the squad for Saturday's game at Stamford.

Everyone at the club wishes Adam well on his return.

Meanwhile, Harley Curtis has dual registered with Bury Town. The striker joins the Isthmian North side who are battling for promotion at the top of the division.
