Leiston came back to draw 3-3 with at Felixstowe & Walton United at the Flannery Stadium on Tuesday evening.
‘The Seasiders’ took an early two goal lead after they netted two goals in the first eight minutes and they then saw two headers thump against Louis Torrance’s crossbar as the half progressed.
The away side then netted a third five minutes before the break, shooting home inside the box with the match now seemingly out of Leiston’s reach.
But Leiston returned after the interval with more purpose and Oscar Wynne headed home from a corner on 71 minutes to pull a goal back. The home side kept probing and Ashton Rayworth showed good individual skill inside the box to shoot past the away keeper with five minutes remaining.
Leiston sensed an opportunity and three minutes later Rayworth equalised as he capitalised on error from the visiting keeper to lob the ball home for his second and Leiston’s third to claim what looked an unlikely point at half time.
