Needham pulled a goal back on 56 minutes as Kellen Fiddy headed home from a corner but Stan Horne restored the two goal advantage when he brilliantly shot home a minute later.
In a topsy-turvy game Needham again reduced the Blues lead on the hour when Harry Hopkins shot home outside box.
Lee Harrison’s side though netted a fifth through Long, who made it 15 goals in 8 games for the Under 23's and Under 18's on 69 minutes but three minutes later as Hopkins netted inside the box.
Both teams had chances near the end but Leiston saw the game out, with ten minutes of stoppage time being played out.
Thanks to the Blues supporters who came to watch tonight, who more than turned up in their numbers, in front of a crowd of 475.
