Harvey Green and Stan Horne goals helped put the team in control before the break but Bury Town U18s pulled one back ten minutes into the second half.

But a Jack McLeavy goal with under just under ten minutes of normal time to go ensured that Leiston would progress into the semi-finals of this year’s competition.

Dylan Nye and Lennon Thompson came on in the second half for their U18s debut.

The draw for the semi-finals of the Boys U18 Midweek Cup takes place next Friday (6th March) on BBC Radio Suffolk between 6pm and 7pm.

Lee Harrison’s side head to AFC Sudbury U18s next Thursday (5th March) in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League Central Division in their next competitive fixture. (7.45pm kick off).
