Leiston Under 23’s defeated Anglian Combination League Carlton Colville Town 3-0 at Corton Playing Field on Saturday afternoon to progress into the Second Round of this season’s JLS Catering Group Suffolk Senior Cup.

In an earlier kick off time of 2pm, the Blues opened the scoring just past the half hour mark through Stan Horne.

After the break, goals in the final twenty minutes from Ollie Long and substitute Ashton Rayworth booked the sides passage into the next round.

The draw for the second round is expected to be made within the next couple of weeks.

Neil Smye’s side look forward to a week off next Saturday before they head to Bacton United 89 in the Gateway 14 Suffolk & Ipswich League Premier Division on Saturday 3rd October 2026 in their next competitive fixture (2.30pm kick off).
