Chris, who joined Leiston in 2020, has committed his future to the Blues, looking to build on the progress made on and off the pitch in recent seasons.

“I’m absolutely delighted to commit to another two years with Leiston,” Chris said.

“For me, it gives me the opportunity to continue to work with some great people. I have a good relationship with the fans, a solid working relationship with my management team and that continues through to the chairman and the board.

“I have nothing but positive feelings about the Club. We’ve just had a fantastic few months off the pitch, a brilliantly supported Sporting Dinner, a wonderful Youth Day and then a successful Presentation Night, which tells me exactly why I enjoy and want to be at this Club.

“On the pitch we've had another solid season at Step 3, with a really good points haul. But I want to keep pushing and pushing the team. I take great pride in what I do, great pride in being involved at Leiston.”

Meanwhile, director of football, Dave Williams, pictured right with Chris, added: “It is great to have secured Chris’ services as we start to plan for our 15th season at Step 3.

“Chris knows what it takes at this level. He knows the Club and what we want to achieve on and off the pitch.

“There was quite a rebuild last summer with several new recruits. With Chris extending his contract, it will allow us to tweak the squad this summer to make us even more competitive for the coming seasons.”
