Leiston Under 23’s lost their first match in six games on Saturday afternoon as they went down 1-0 at East Bergholt United.

It’s only the second time they have lost this season, the other, a 3-1 loss against Old Newton United on the opening day at the Flannery Stadium.

East Bergholt United took the lead just before the half hour mark and although Leiston had chances to level, couldn’t get back in the match.

The team now head to Carlton Colville Town next Saturday as they start their Suffolk Senior Cup campaign, kick off 2pm.
