LEISTON U18s won 2-1 at home to Stowmarket Town U18s this evening, with the Blues netting a winner in the 90th minute through Ashton Rayworth.
Leiston took the lead with barely 20 seconds on the clock when Rayworth shot home to give the Blues an early lead.
That’s the way it stayed until 62 minutes when Stowmarket Town levelled after an excellent individual goal but Leiston weren’t to be denied the points and in the 90th minute, Rayworth grabbed his second when he controlled the ball from Andrei Cusca to fire past the Stowmarket Town keeper.
The win keeps Lee Harrison’s side fourth in the division, with the U18s travelling to Ipswich Wanderers next Tuesday for their next league fixture (7.45pm kick off).
Meanwhile, the U18s Veo U18 Boys Midweek Cup semi-final fixture against Brantham Athletic U18s has been arranged for Tuesday 24th March at Debenham LC, 7.45pm kick off.
